About Me

Welcome, I’m Danielle. I am a New York City-based psychotherapist with over 10 years of experience working in the field. I received my Master’s in Social Work from Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College. Prior to starting my own practice I worked in schools, private nonprofit settings and mental health clinics providing psychotherapy to children, adults and families. Throughout my work, I came to realize that what I liked most was helping young adults manage the difficulties in their lives whether it be due to difficult transitions, struggling relationships, or trauma.

My theoretical background is based on psychoanalytic theory and I utilize that along with a variety of other techniques to tailor our sessions to your needs. I completed a certificate program at the Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Study Center.

In addition to talk therapy, I also have additional experience and training in yoga and how it can assist in the treatment of trauma. I received my 200-hour yoga teacher certification as well a certification in trauma-sensitive yoga. Please feel free to ask me more about this if you are interested in incorporating yoga and/or breathwork into our sessions.
